Branch Events
Check out local events hosted by Branches.

The BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience (BCSEG) operates 15 regional Branches. Each of these Branches are coordinated by a Committee of local volunteers who connect with BCSEG operations through the leadership team. BCSEG Members can self-select a home and work Branch that they are connected to. This is to recognize that not everyone may work and live in the same Branch region. Communication of relevant events and activities carried out by local Branches are shared with members.

The Branches play a vital role in BCSEG as they interact with Members and the public through a range of events and activities. In their local regions they host seminars, networking events, tours, and other events are organized year-round to create opportunities for continuing education and networking for Members.

General Functions of the Branches and their Executives include:

  • Providing direct regional communication with Members.
  • Organizing the delivery of local professional development (PD) opportunities.
  • Facilitating the efforts of the Society to increase public and student awareness of the value of engineering and science professions through community outreach activities.
  • Coordinating local meetings and networking events.

Members are encouraged to become active in the operations of their local regional. By attending events, getting involved with their organization, or sharing your experience and knowledge as a speaker it's an opportunity to meet others in your region.
