The BC Society of Engineering & Geoscience (BCSEG) is seeking passionate and engaged members to join our Communications & Marketing Committee.
This committee plays a critical role in strengthening BCSEG’s voice, visibility, and impact. As communications and marketing are a top strategic priority, we are looking for volunteers who want to help shape how we connect with members, stakeholders, and the broader community.
What You’ll Do
Committee members will support initiatives such as:
- Developing and strengthening BCSEG’s brand and messaging
- Supporting newsletters, digital communications, and social media
- Promoting programs, events, and volunteer opportunities
- Providing communications support to committees, branches, and working groups
- Contributing ideas to improve member engagement and outreach
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a communications professional—interest and enthusiasm matter just as much as experience.
We welcome members who:
- Have a background or interest in communications, marketing, branding, or storytelling
- Enjoy writing, editing, design, social media, or strategic thinking
- Are passionate about helping BCSEG grow its reach and impact
- Want to contribute their skills in a collaborative, volunteer-driven environment
Time Commitment
This is an operational committee, working closely with the CEO and staff. Time commitment is reasonable and flexible, with meetings held as needed and meaningful opportunities to contribute between meetings.
