Come join the Central Interior Branch for their 28th Annual Popsicle Stick Bridge Breaking Competition at Pine Centre Mall! This fun, hands‑on science challenge is open to all ages and is a great opportunity to test your creativity, problem‑solving skills, and structural design abilities.
The objective is to build the strongest possible model bridge using only popsicle sticks and white glue. All contest entry and construction materials are provided free of charge.
Each bridge will be tested using a specially designed testing machine that applies an increasing load until the bridge fails. The machine is equipped with a load cell to accurately measure the amount of force applied. Gift certificates and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place certificates will be awarded in the primary, intermediate, and secondary categories. The adult category will receive certificates only.
