AIGreening – AI for Wildfire Prediction, Preparedness, and Decision Support

AIGreening Solutions Inc. develops Artificial Intelligence-powered tools that help communities, governments, and Indigenous partners better anticipate and manage wildfire risk. Their technology integrates satellite imagery, weather and environmental data, and localized field knowledge to generate early-warning predictions, risk maps, and operational guidance.
Through their collaborations with First Nations, wildfire agencies, and academic partners, AIGreening supports both immediate threat awareness and long-term stewardship planning—including prescribed burn decision support grounded in Indigenous fire knowledge.

AIGreening’s expects that their platform will be piloted across British Columbia with the goal of scaling across fire-prone regions in Canada and internationally.

Dr. Yussuf Reza Esmaeili, CTO, AIGreening Solutions Inc.

Dr. Yussuf Reza Esmaeili is the Chief Technology Officer at AIGreening Solutions Inc. and a PhD-trained mechanical engineer specializing in robotics, intelligent systems, and AI-driven environmental analytics. His expertise sits at the intersection of wildfire occurrence modelling, machine learning, remote sensing, and decision-support systems for climate resilience.

Prior to joining AIGreening, Yussuf worked as an engineer in the design and development of robotic systems, automated manufacturing solutions, and automotive control technologies. His experience includes four years designing production lines, semi-autonomous platforms, and data-driven engineering tools for industry.

At AIGreening, he leads technical development across wildfire prediction, data engineering pipelines, and prescribed burning decision-support tools in partnership with Indigenous and government organizations.

Yussuf holds a PhD from the University of Victoria and MSc/BSc degrees from Sharif University of Technology, and is a recipient of national and international academic awards.
