The BC Society of Engineering & Geoscience (BCSEG) is seeking volunteers to join a newly established Government Relations Committee (Task Force).
This committee will support BCSEG’s advocacy efforts by helping strengthen relationships with government, elected officials, and key stakeholders, and by advancing issues that matter to our members and the engineering and geoscience professions.
Who Should Apply
We welcome members who have:
- An interest or background in advocacy, public policy, or government relations
- Experience or passion for community engagement, stakeholder relations, or strategic issues
- A desire to help shape BCSEG’s voice on matters affecting the profession
You do not need prior government relations experience—interest, insight, and commitment are key.
What to Expect
This is an operational committee, working closely with the CEO and staff. Members will contribute to identifying advocacy priorities, informing BCSEG positions, and supporting outreach and engagement activities. Terms of Reference will be shared with selected volunteers.
Interested?
If you’re interested in joining the Government Relations Committee, please email info@bcseg.ca with a brief note about your background or interest.
Help ensure the voices of engineering and geoscience professionals are heard.
