Position: F/T Project Engineer (Structural)

Salary Range: $90k – $105k per year

Typical projects include schools, healthcare facilities, universities, airports, civic buildings, commercial, and multi-family residential. The firm has been in business providing exceptional services for 55 years and currently has a staff of 35 engineers and technicians. Our office is located in beautiful Coal Harbour right beside Stanley Park in Downtown Vancouver

Job Description:
Responsibilities will include:

Structural analysis and design of new buildings, renovations, and seismic retrofits
Preparation and review of structural drawings, assessments and reports.
Field reviews and construction administration activities.
Working within an integrated team environment to coordinate structural designs with architects and other project consultants.
 

Mandatory Qualifications:

·         Must be registered as an E.I.T. or P.Eng. with EGBC. 

·         3-5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.

·         Working knowledge and experience with the BC Building Code and at least two material design standards (steel, concrete, and wood).

Additional Requirements:                                                                                                    

·         Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

·         Experience with the design and field review of institutional, commercial and/or residential buildings

·         Experience coordinating structural design with architects and the broader design team.

·         Proficiency with structural analysis software including ETABS, SAFE and S-Frame. Experience with  ForteWEB, WoodWorks Sizer and Hilti PROFIS is considered an asset.

·         Must possess a valid driver’s license

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and provide profit-sharing bonuses to all employees. Our standard work week is 37.5 hours, with paid overtime when necessary. We support continuing education through a progressive learning environment and cover the cost of approved courses.
