The BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience (BCSEG) is pleased to announce that the Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s (EGBC) Board has approved an additional $500K in funding for BCSEG. This funding will support BCSEG as it assumes responsibility for some of the historical advocacy programs previously offered by EGBC. Read EGBC News announcement.
We’ve officially started the search for our first employee. We’re looking for an Executive Director to collaborate with the BCSEG Board in establishing our foundational business systems and building out the organization. A representative from the BCSEG Programs Working Group will be meeting with EGBC Branch Representatives and staff at the final EGBC Branch videoconference in early September. We will be sharing updates about BCSEG and engaging on a process to develop our programs with a focus on 2024-2025 planning.
BCSEG Board Directors will be attending the EGBC 2024 Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference this coming October. We encourage you to approach us during the conference to introduce yourself. Additionally, we will have a booth at the exhibitor tradeshow, where you can learn more about our programs, provide feedback on what you would like to see from the organization, and learn how to get involved.
