BCSEG is hiring a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help build the voice, visibility, and member engagement of a growing professional society representing engineering and geoscience professionals across BC.
Location: British Columbia (Remote / Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time (1-year contract)
Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 + benefits + vacation

The BC Society of Engineering & Geoscience (BCSEG) is a member-driven, non-profit organization representing engineering and geoscience professionals across British Columbia. BCSEG is entering a growth phase focused on strengthening its value proposition, expanding membership engagement, launching sponsorship initiatives, and building a strong, credible public presence.
The Opportunity
BCSEG is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the execution of communications, branding, and member engagement activities. This role plays a central part in implementing BCSEG’s strategic roadmap by translating priorities into clear, consistent, and engaging communications.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications:
- Coordinate digital communications (website, email, social media)
- Draft and edit newsletters, announcements, and campaign materials
- Maintain brand and visual consistency across materials
Membership & Engagement:
- Promote member programs, events, and benefits
- Support targeted outreach campaigns
- Amplify Branch initiatives across the province
Events, Programs & Sponsorship:
- Promote events and professional development offerings
- Support sponsorship communications and partner recognition
Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with CEO, staff, and volunteer committees
- Maintain communications calendars and track engagement
Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience managing digital content
- Ability to work independently in a small, evolving organization
- Non-profit or association experience is an asset
- Familiarity with engineering, geoscience, or STEM communities is an asset
